Ghosthunters: On Icy Trails
Ghosthunters: On Icy Trails is a German children's film directed by Tobi Baumann, released in 2015. The film is based on Cornelia Funke's children's book “Gespensterjäger auf eisiger Spur”.
Eleven-year-old Tom is relentlessly teased by his older sister, Lola, and is seen as a coward among his peers. When Tom encounters the slimy ghost Hugo in the basement, he is initially terrified. However, Hugo turns out to be harmless and incredibly friendly, explaining that he has been driven from his home by a malevolent ghost. If he cannot return, he will vanish forever. Determined to help, Tom and Hugo persuade the frustrated ghost hunter Hedwig Kümmelsaft to save Hugo, ultimately protecting their town from an icy disaster.
