13 Minutes

Georg Elser, a carpenter from Königsbronn, decided, after the National Socialists seized power, to assassinate Hitler on his own. A homemade bomb in Munich’s Bürgerbräukeller missed its target by 13 minutes—13 minutes that could have changed world history.

A multiple-award-winning and nominated film about Georg Elser, an ordinary carpenter and unrecognized German resistance fighter. Who was this man who recognized the danger posed by Hitler so early and took action while everyone else went along or remained silent?

At the 36th Bavarian Film Awards in 2015, Oliver Schündler and Boris Ausserer were able to accept the award for Best Film for Elser.
